A new exhibition space has opened in the Lithuanian Maritime Museum. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the medium-sized fishing trawler "Dubingiai". Although the ship is called medium-sized, it looks quite small. Visitors to "Dubingiai" can get acquainted with the daily life of fishermen by visiting the ship's kitchen, small cabins, passing through a narrow corridor, and peering into the heart of the ship - the engine compartment. Such a small ship was used for both work and living. One fisherman once told that during the Soviet period, sailors spent 6 months on a voyage and had no chance to go ashore. The exhibition is called "Long journey".
